Our “appointment only” model ensures 100% of our time is focused exclusively on the customer, distraction free. We infuse world class hospitality into everything we do including our pickup/delivery service for club repair and re-gripping.

Our owner, Jake Medlen, began playing competitive golf in high school during the late 90’s garnering several accolades in the Houston area and across Southeast Texas. Jake became a top ranked junior within the Houston Golf Association prior to receiving a scholarship to play at San Jacinto College. During his junior golf career, Jake worked in various capacities at Kingwood CC, Deerwood CC and Golf Club of Houston. After spending almost eight years in the golf industry, Jake embarked upon a career in hospitality. He spent the next 13 years as Global Director of sales, first with Hilton Hotels, and later, with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. His past two years were spent standing up the hospitality and travel practice at a renowned technological consultancy firm. Golf was never far from Jake’s mind as he continued to play and work on his game with each career move.

After visiting golf shops and club fitters far and wide, he was constantly left with what he describes as a “lackluster experience” each time. Having invested thousands of dollars with these establishments, Jake felt something was missing and the industry could and should achieve a higher standard.  Jake created the concept for Stripe Show Club Fitters to meet that standard. His vision was quite simple: make golf club fitting fun and approachable without sacrificing quality or choice.  His expertise as a hotelier, coupled with his passion for the game, resulted in the concept of infusing world class hospitality into the golf club fitting process.  Jake Medlen knows how to deliver a tour quality golf club fitting experience making customers feel as though they are his only customer. Hence, Stripe Show Club Fitters was born.
